In addition to these appointments W. Bro. Graham Glazier who was a member of a number of Mark Lodges in the Province has been appointed to Grand Senior Deacon through his membership in the neighbouring Province of Dorset.

You will also recall that there have been four field promotions conferred on brethren during the past twelve months. VW. Bro. David Stockdale, VW. Bro. Alan Berman, VW.  Bro Brian Bellinger who received the rank of Past Grand Junior Overseer from the Pro. Grand Master, MW. Bro. Raymond. J. Smith, at the Phoenix Lodge 250th Anniversary meeting at the Portsmouth Guildhall last September. During the 100th Anniversary celebratory meeting of Connaught Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.694 at the Botley Masonic Centre on 24th October 2019, W. Bro. Alex Ward was granted a field promotion to Past Grand Junior Deacon by the Deputy Grand Master, RW. Bro. John H Prizeman.

It has been an exceptional year for the Province of Hampshire & Isle of Wight. I am sure you will all wish to join the Provincial Grand Master and his Executive in congratulating these worthy Brethren on their preferment.

The suspension of all Masonic activities means that the Grand Investiture scheduled for the next four months will not now take place, Brethren receiving Grand Honours will assume their new ranks with effect from the date the Investiture meeting should have taken place.

Yours sincerely and fraternally

Nigel D Bell

Provincial Grand Secretary
