The 2010 Nigel Buckingham Memorial Golf Trophy

The 2010 event was held at Paultons Golf Centre on Tuesday 18th May. Seven teams took part with each team comprising of four players. In addition to the teams from our own Province there were representatives from London and Dorset.

On the day the weather was very kind being dry . All the golfers certainly enjoyed the Course and weather even if their golf was not at its best. Once again the efforts put in by Alan Wakeford to organise a super day were very much appreciated by all the golfers present.

The format for the competition was Stableford and the best two scores on each hole counted. The winning team was London Mark and the golfer with the best individual score (41 points) was Vanda Ashbolt, wife of V.W.Bro. David Ashbolt, DPGM of London Mark and also a member of the winning team.

The day was superbly organised by W.Bro. Alan Wakeford and the golf was followed by a very enjoyable dinner in the Clubhouse. The meal was graced by the presence of the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, V.W.Bro. George Deacon and Mrs Sue Buckingham. A raffle at the dinner raised in excess of £190.00 which was donated to the PGM's Mini Festival.
