During the past year the Provincial Mark Benevolent Fund has continued to benefit from the substantial amounts so generously donated by both Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Lodges.
The Fund is used to support both Masonic and non Masonic Charities in our Province, thus proving we are a “Caring” Degree as well as a “Friendly” Degree.
Funding made during the year have been well publicised in the ‘Keystone’ magazine and, in addition, several members of the Province, or their dependants, as identified by the Provincial Grand Almoner, have received assistance.
The Provincial Grand Master and his Executive are pleased to discuss any cause which may need financial support. If a Lodge feel there is a cause worthy of consideration please contact the Provincial Grand Charity Steward.
Individuals who are UK tax payers may wish to contribute to the Fund by completing a ‘Relief Chest Donation Form’ for either Single or Regular giving, thus enabling tax to be reclaimed.
Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Lodges are urged to use the ‘Gift Aid’ envelopes which also allow tax to be claimed from the Revenue, currently 28p for every £1 donated. The Provincial Grand Charity Steward will be pleased to advise and assist with the administration details if required.
The Provincial Grand Master thanks all for their giving in the past and looks forward to your continued support in the year ahead.
